LTS meeting was held on 12.01.2011 & 13.01.2011 at Hotel Dolphin in presence of Director HR, G M (IR) and others.
On the first day, management once again brought the subject of CO-TERMINUS to which both the unions said an emphatic "NO". So the management has agreed to defer the same for now.
On 13.01.2011, the mgmt. gave its first draft offer on LTS. As regards the financial matters, the offer contains only Fitment Methodology. The allowances and other benefits part is absent. However, the offer did mention about certain conditions in the name of "Better Practices." Many of these conditions were already laid down in earlier 44 hrs. draft and some new conditions are added now. Local mgmt. ( DGM-Maint. ) is also invited to explain the background of these conditions. Both the unions argued that it is not fair to discuss the conditions with out giving full financial package. Both unions clarified that they can not accept any of these conditions.
Unions have demanded that a suitable basic is to be given for RW 3s covering the deficit arose out of last LTS and the mgmt. responded favorably.
Unions strongly requested for immediate implementation of 44 working hours and the mgmt. said that they will come back to us after discussing the same with other Directors. Both unions have unanimously requested for early completion of LTS.
